I started my aviation career after college as a final function test mechanic on the DC10, from there I went to work as a CFI and eventually flew part 121 and spent 7 years as a check airman. Next stop was flying corporate for another dozen plus years. I started my company 18 years ago and despite the ups and downs of self-employment, I really love what I do and have no plans to retire until I hit 90.
Val is the brains behind our success and makes sure I don't say or do anything too ridiculous. She also handles the admin and managerial aspects of the office. She is an educator, writer and Jeopardy smart, holds a BA and MA in Anthropology. Her only fault seems to be her perfect diction and a propensity to correct mine on a regular basis. Other than that, she is perfect.
The beauty of having built a long and distinguished list of friendships over the past 40 years means we have access to SME's, Chief Pilots, DOM's, investigators, regulators and human factor experts who are available to us anytime we need them. That brainpower and experience has proven to be invaluable to our success and ensures we get it right and stay current with new innovations and changes in the aviation industry.
