EXPERIENCE MATTERS

John started his aviation career as an A&P final function test mechanic on the DC10, while flight instructing on the weekend. Eventually hired by a part 121 airline and became a check engineer.
From there he moved to a part 91 corporate operation flying a Super27 and BBJ as flight engineer and first officer and retired in 2004.
He spent the next 2 years as an apprentice under an SMS/QMS/EMS/OSHA expert, learning everything he could about SMS, starting his business in 2006.
Over the past 20 years he has worked with Part's 91, 135, 139 and 145 operators, adopt, implement and manage SMS and continues to provide audits, training and implementations to operators of all sizes.
He holds a BS in Psychology with completed graduate work in education and lives on the Oregon coast with his wife and dog Finn.

Val is an educator, trainer and writer. She is also my editor in chief and ensures our manuals are correct and conform to industry style guidelines.
She also handles the administrative and managerial aspects of the business and assist with training curriculums when needed. She is jeopardy smart and holds a BA and MA in Anthropology.
